Introduction
This Web site is the result of my involvement in the sport of Archery as a competition archer in which I have had some successes.
The highlight of my life being awarded the 2000 National Flight Championship with my 60 pound tournament compound bow shooting 491yards 2 feet, I have also held the Northern Counties Compound Flight Championship for both compound and recurve flight shooting, over the past few years I have been shooting a flight bow given to me by Ted Mallet a well known international flight shooter.
I also shoot clout and have won the Northern counties and DNAA championships on occasions however I always remember my first medal at Killingworth Indoors for the MOST REDS and treasure it with my others.
I would like to dedicate this site to the men Whom introduced me to archery coached me, advised me and helped to write this missive, "Bud" Broughton DNAA chairman for many years and His right hand man "Jim" Rogers DNAA Secretary both of Heugh Bowmen, Seaton Carew.
Enough of me, this web site has been produced to provide all archers a simple way to refer to an archery term, item or technique and in the hope that in Knowing what's what less mystery and more mastery of equipment and self will result and greater enjoyment of archery.
I have built up this information over the past sixteen years and initially it was going to be "My Book" but now it is coded its really every-ones so I wish you good shooting and plenty of golds.
